The Giens Peninsula

la presqu'ile de Giens et son double tombolo

Located in the southernmost part of Hyères, Giens is connected to the continent by a double tombolo, formed by two tongues of sand and gravel encircling the ancient salina of the Pesquiers, now an ornithological reserve.

On the heights of the peninsula is the village of Giens, dominated by the ruins of the Château des Pontéves, which it would be a pity not to visit if you pass by there.

As Porquerolles' faithful little sister, you can admire the magnificent landscapes of the Peninsula by various means, whether by boat, sail or kayak, which will allow you to explore the rocky coasts of Giens. One of the best ways is walking, as there is a coastal path that will allow you to walk along the sea and enjoy the landscapes overlooking the cliffs, descend to water level, as well as discover some of the most remarkable rock formations.

For those who wish to rest, you will also find long sandy beaches.

Don't wait any longer and discover this tourist heritage that is located on the Giens peninsula.
